Apan Mithila is a cultural enterprise committed to celebrating and reviving the timeless heritage of the Mithila region. Rooted in the rich traditions of art, craft, and culture, we aim to bring the soul of Mithila to every doorstep through authentic and handcrafted products made by local artisans and women entrepreneurs.

Our mission is to promote the identity of Mithila by showcasing its traditional products such as Mithila paintings (Madhubani art), handwoven Maithili sarees, sikki grass crafts, Maithil Paag,Dupatta,Stoles. Each product we offer is more than just a commodity—it’s a story of cultural pride, skill, and centuries-old traditions passed down through generations.

Apan Mithila works directly with rural artisans, self-help groups, and local craftsmen to ensure fair wages, sustainable practices, and the preservation of Mithila’s unique artistic expressions. By connecting artisans to modern markets, we are building a bridge between heritage and livelihood, art and opportunity.

We also aim to popularize Maithili festivals, folk traditions, and rituals by offering curated products for occasions like Chhath Puja, Sama-Chakeva, Vivah, and Saurath Sabha. Whether it’s a Paag (Maithil headgear), a hand-painted wall frame, or a traditional musical instrument, every item reflects the spirit of Mithila.
